CKD stage finder

Type in the eGFR from your lab report to see which stage range it falls in, in plain language, with questions to bring to your care team.

Find it on your lab report as “eGFR,” measured in mL/min/1.73 m². Range 0 to 150.

Good to know: this tool only matches a number to a range. It does not calculate your eGFR, diagnose kidney disease, or replace your care team. Stages also depend on protein in your urine (uACR) and on results staying the same for 3 months or longer.
Enter your eGFR to see your range.

Stage ranges follow the eGFR categories used by the National Kidney Foundation (KDIGO). “If your eGFR stays below 60, or your uACR stays above 30 for 3 months or longer, it may be a sign of chronic kidney disease.” Steps are general education and not advice for any one person.
